GRID·COMPARE

About

← Back to the comparator

Grid Compare is a site about Formula 1 history, from the first season in 1950 to today. It gathers the results of every driver who has taken the start of a Grand Prix, and offers several ways to read them.

You can compare two careers side by side, open a driver's full sheet season by season, or follow the points and positions through a single year. The site also offers rankings built from the data, duels between team-mates, and a page for each date of the calendar with what happened on that day.

It is free, and it requires no sign-up and no account.

Grid Compare is not affiliated with Formula 1, the FIA or any team. Names, brands and data belong to their respective owners.

Where the data comes from

All the data comes from f1db, an open database published on GitHub. The site does not enter anything by hand: it reads this data, organises it and presents it. When f1db corrects a figure, the site picks up the correction at its next update.

Updates

Figures are updated after each Grand Prix. Seasons that are already over only change when f1db corrects a figure.
